If it wasn’t already obvious, the title of this book is Goodbye Hooters. If you are a man who knows anything about women, pregnancy, breasts, and tacky restaurants… you can pretty much kiss the latter two goodbye; at least for the duration of your woman’s pregnancy. But, this isn’t just another typical run-of-the-mill story, chain-sawing away in hopes of catering to an expectant female audience. Not in the least. This book is dedicated to those who can’t be bothered to ask for directions under any circumstances, those who believe beer drinking is a religion, those who over-exaggerate the size of everything, and those who don’t know jack-shit about pregnancy… Men!

Kick us to the curb at the street corner of Pregnancy & Fatherhood without a “master” to guide us, and we will without doubt run amok in feverish circles, scratch our “junk” relentlessly, and beeline our way to the nearest liquor store!

Goodbye Hooters The NoHoldsBarred Chronicles of an Expectant Father eBook Bret Draven Bret Draven Eric Seipp

Mr. Draven gives you a dead serious look at life for a man experiencing the "joys" of childbirth and what to expect when the little "treasure" goes home with you. As a single and child-free man, I can say this book also serves as an entertaining reminder of the importance of birth control, and the responsibility of men to be on top of that. Details on the loss of free time, sleep, and selfishness are served with large doses of sarcasm and whit. If you don't follow this line of writing, simply look for the exclamation marks at the end of sentences that offer this important combo! It's a quick read, so do it before the kid comes, cause you're screwed (and this will be the only screwing you will get, until the lady wants another child) after the little "bundle of joy" arrives.

If you're an expectant father, have a child, know a child, know someone that's ever been pregnant, are curious about pregnancy, or just want a good laugh - this, my friend, is the book for you. Sophisticated senses of humor are required because of adult content but worth every cheeks and stomach hurt from laughing moment. A box of tissues is required (no one will ever know if your tears are from laughing or crying, I promise.) Four enthusiastic thumbs up, if toes are thumbs.

Five stars just really don't seem like enough. LOVE. THIS. BOOK.
One of the funniest books I've read! Lots of good information for the soon to be dad! HIGHLY recommended for a laugh and a brief glimpse of what is in store!
Although intended as a guide for men, this book is written in a style that anyone can enjoy. The story is funny and interesting, and is told through such an insightful perspective. I look forward to any future books by Bret Draven.
Definitely written from the male viewpoint, from a daddy sharing his insight as to how being an expectant father and new dad will open your eyes to what really happens from the moment you hear those magic words to the sleepless nights after you take your bundle home. Humorous and graphically detailed. This book shares what expectant dads need to know, in a style easy to visualize how your life is going to change. Written in a language for men who want to know what really is going to happen that you don't hear in those classes the mother to be makes you attend! Thoroughly enjoyable!
Draven's gut busting humor will firm your abs more than repeatedly sucking in your paunch at the beach.

As a guide for the new husband and expectant father, Draven walks you through what to expect and what may surprise you. He nails every aspect of becoming a father with an insight only a well-seasoned new father can give.

Draven peppers his writing with anecdotes, truths, and unabashed hilarity even at his own expense. If there is even a remote chance you could spawn a child of your own, you should read this book.
